House of the Dragon has officially announced its release window! According to Collider, the show is set to release in early summer 2024. You heard right! We can all start marking our calendars.
But that’s not the only news. Collider also reported that the first trailer for Season 2 has already been seen by the press. In an exclusive screening during a press event, members of the media got a first look at what’s going on in Westeros. Of course, there are restrictions on what they can report about, but nonetheless, people have seen the Season 2 trailer. And no matter how upset I am that those people didn’t include me, I have my sights set on two key events I anticipate will appear in the Season 2 trailer that will give me a good gauge of where the show is headed–namely, Blood and Cheese and the Battle of the Gullet.
If you haven’t traveled to the Seven Kingdoms recently, House of the Dragon is a Game of Thrones successor show featuring the events of Westeros nearly two hundred years before the events of the original show. Based on the events of George R. R. Martin’s fictional history book, Fire and Blood, the novel follows the house of Daenerys Targaryen from her ancestor Aegon the Conqueror’s conquest to the end of the Dance of the Dragons. House of the Dragon covers the Dance of the Dragons, taking creative liberties and giving us a peek into the war of succession Westeros experienced during this time.
Are you excited for the trailer? I will now be watching the internet like a hawk. Or a dragon . . . Yes, my puns need work, but I don’t care because Vermithor is coming.
